I loved it!

Overall 5 out of 5 stars | Reviewed: 04-04-21

I loved “Walking in Water in my Stilettos”! The author, Michelle P. Jones tells the story of her transformation and how some very significant life events have made her into the woman she is now. I loved the analogies of the different stages of her life’s journey to the different types of shoes and reaching the ultimate style of stilettos. This is well-written and well-read. Congratulations on this amazing book.

"I love this book, you never know why God places people in your life or why you and certain people just click from the moment you meet and a lot of times it’s because you too have been or are going through the same or you can relate to each other’s pain! This Book is helping me Grow in God and I started reading it at work and had to go lock it in my car because I couldn’t put it down. God, I thank you for using Michelle strengths to strengthen others." 😍

These seven matriarchs of Genesis present a clear picture of what it looks like when women don't know who they are, are unable to accept themselves knowing their shortcomings, flaws and/or imperfections nor have learned how to find the love they need within themselves when it isn't reflected in the eyes, hearts and actions of those closest to them. Hagar is an example of a woman who left all she knew and when cast out and rejected found her true identity and purpose in the intimate relationship she develops with God. She learned personally that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Rachel is an example of the pretty girl who always gets what she wants because of her looks. That is until she doesn't and exposes the ugliness inside as she develops her intimate relationship with barrenness. She learned that you may get what you desperately want but it doesn't mean you get to enjoy the beauty it may bring into your life. Zilpah is an example of a woman who allows herself to be used by others thinking she will find acceptance and/or be considered equal with those she serves. She never discovers her true worth or the joy she could bring to the world and/or experience if she could only learn that she is enough. There is so much more to be learned in and through the lives, loves, and/or actions of these seven matriarchs of Genesis and the men who they love and accept as their life partners. The same issues they experienced back then are prevalent in women today when they act in desperation and develop an intimate relationship with barrenness. Can you relate? Have you witnessed these same acts of desperation in friends, family members and/or loved ones? Have you ever wondered why she won't leave that emotionally abusive relationship? Instead of checking out, check in and learn how and why she is subjecting herself to what you consider as madness! I think Ecclesiastes 1:9 says it best, “…there's nothing new under the sun.”

Walking on Water in my Stilettos

How God Strengthened my Faithwalk

Have you ever been in a situation where CHANGE jumped up and slapped you in the face? Well, that very thing happened to me when God took me through a very public and personal season of change. A season of change that forced me to sit up, take notice and realize that my life was literally SPIRALING OUT OF CONTROL!!! This season of CHANGE turned out to be a life SAVING and life CHANGING experience for me and taught me that it'll look different from person to person. While writing this book, God took me on a journey of SELF-DISCOVERY that showed me how every experience, every trial, every tribulation, every heartache, and every heartbreak was necessary for me to be who I am and where I am, today! This journey brought me to the door of ACCEPTANCE and GROWTH that required me to answer one (1) simple question, ‘In what way is CHANGE demanding entrance into my life?’ to grant me entrance. I challenge you to read this book and begin to answer the question for yourself: “In what way is change knocking on my door demanding entrance?”

If you are looking for personal self-acceptance, forgiveness, happiness, and wholeness, learn to love the woman looking back at you in the mirror and become the woman you're created, destined, and purposed to be, then this book IS for you. It will provide you with a road map to discover what I learned, in your own life. My story shows you that when CHANGE slaps you in the face you can no longer camouflage the cracks in the masks you wear daily, just like I couldn't.
