New Author's Package

Writing a book is an awesome, yet daunting experience for new authors. The Authorpreneur Academy has designed a package for new authors designed to support them during their writing journey. The digital courses and coaching sessions are designed to take the author from concept to completed manuscript. The package consists of the Authorpreneur Academy's Get Courageous Program and the Author's BookKamp Program. The Get Courageous Program provides the author with a navigator to help them navigate their writing journey, while removing the anxiety and fear some authors experience during their writing journey or before they begin writing their story. The Author's BookKamp teaches authors how to create their strategic writing plan, clearly identify their vision and purpose for their book, and teach them the business of writing. Each author who takes this digital course will confidently step into their roles as an author and introduce an exceptional literary project to the marketplace.

Pre-Publishing Services

Not every author needs the entire publishing package, and for those authors, we offer individualized publishing services. By partnering with us, the author can order individual publishing services, such as the Author's Social Media Package, professional editing services, formating and/or cover design. The additional services offered and their rates. are listed below. Professional Editing Services

Our editors will provide proofreading, fact-checking, grammar correction, continuity of thought, and correct sentence structure, while removing duplications. Before scheduling your Editing Discovery Call, complete the Editing Inquiry Form below. During which, the assigned editor and author/writer will review the manuscript and determine the author's/writer's editing needs.

Developmental (Structural) Editor/Editing: is a thorough and in-depth edit of the author’s manuscript. It is a complete examination of all the elements of the author’s manuscript, from single words and the phrasing of individual sentences to the overall structure and style of the manuscript (as it relates to the author’s style of writing). It can address plot holes, gaps or inconsistencies, problematic characterization, readability, paragraph cohesiveness, etc. Developmental editing focuses on the manuscript’s storyline, big picture, and plays a deeper role in the development of the manuscript.

Copy/Line Editor/Editing: focus on the manuscript from the perspective of grammar, punctuation and diction (i.e. word choice) meant to improve readability. They look at grammar, punctuation, spelling and the need for substituting weak words and phrases with more powerful alternatives that brings out the overall message or intent of the manuscript. They ensure that the manuscript follows style rules as part of the rules for editing according to publishing industry standards.

Proofreader/Proofreading: catches spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. They also look at format to ensure that all elements are included and appear as they should (i.e. spotting things like a word or sentence repeated twice or missing words, a headline failing to show as bold, scriptures missing the version (KJV, NKJV, NLT, etc.), quotes missing who said them, etc.).

Stepping into the role of an author looks different for each person, each book and/or the author's skill set. Marketing and promoting a book can be a daunting experience for new and seasoned authors alike. To help authors navigate the social media promotional process, MPJI is offering the Author's Social Media Package. The services provided to each author are:

  • Promotional Materials - specifically made for social media use. (e.g. images, videos, posts, etc.)

  • Training on how to best use the professionally created promotional materials.

Every author MUST have a website or landing page for their books. A website or landing page is an authors, writers, novelists, and publishers connection point, and digital communication that helps them launch, promote and/or publish their book(s) online. It helps authors attract and keep more readers by offering a piece of digital real estate dedicated to their book or books and why it's worth reading. It also helps build the know, like, and trust factor with their readership. If you don't already have one, let my team create a beautiful website or landing page for you.

A Landing Page is a one-page website that shares the specifics about your book and briefly shares information about the author. A landing page is digital real estate that gives the author the opportunity to share their literary masterpiece with their readers.

A website is a multi-page digital site used to inform readers of current and upcoming book releases, offer an e-commerce link to make immediate purchases of their book, and to house reviews of their books, products and/or services.

  • Submission of your manuscript for any of the services listed below does NOT constitute a publishing partnership agreement.

  • MPJI will not hold any rights to your intellectual property.

  • All formatting and/or design orders turn around time is TWO - FOUR weeks depending on the size of the book. All editing clients can expect a professionally edited document within FOUR - SIX weeks. Plan the release of your literary project with these due dates in mind. If you need your project rushed, DO NOT submit your manuscript, or submit payment without receiving approval from a representative of Bledsoe Publishing.

  • Editing is an essential activity prior to publishing your manuscript. An author should not rush the publishing process, or is one of the most important pieces of the publishing puzzle. Rushing your editing process may end up with the author introducing a less than desirable book in the marketplace. Plan the release of your literary project with the previously discussed due dates in mind.

  • All editing and formatting packages are priced for up to 3 rounds of revisions. Any changes requested outside the editing agreement will result in additional costs.

  • If you only purchase formatting, we will only format your manuscript for publication. MPJI will NOT proofread or edit any author's manuscript without purchasing editing services. If an author only purchases editing services, formatting services will NOT be thrown in for free.

  • Purchasing the Author's Social Media Package does NOT indicate you have entered into a Social Manager contractual relationship with any member of MPJI's team. The payment for these services only includes social media promotional items and training on how to best utilize those items.

  • Purchasing the One-Page Landing Page or Website Design Package does NOT indicate you have entered into a Website Hosting contractual relationship with any member of MPJI's team. The payment for these services only includes the creation/design of a one-page landing page or website (up to 3 pgs) and training how to update and/or host your site.
